Materials Used in Our Collegiate Apparel
When shopping with us, you might have questions about the materials we use. We offer only the best in terms of quality, longevity, and comfort, and it shows in the materials used in our collegiate apparel. Let’s take a look at the most common materials used in our collegiate apparel to put your mind at ease with every purchase.
100% cotton
One of the most common fabrics in the world, cotton makes up the largest portion of materials used in our collegiate apparel. With our apparel in 100% cotton, you get the best in softness and ease of care. Cotton can be machine washed without damaging it. In fact, cotton becomes softer and more comfortable to wear the more you wash it over the years. Cotton is also an affordable material, so we can keep the overhead down and pass the savings directly to our customers. Many of our tees and cable knit sweaters are made of this material to ensure comfort and longevity for years to come.
100% polyester mesh
A versatile material, polyester can be used in a range of products. For example, the quick drying nature of the material makes it ideal for workout clothing or activewear in general. We use this material in our basketball shorts in a mesh design. The mesh option offers an impressive breathability to the shorts which is ideal for when you are playing sports or being active. This material keeps you dry, cool, and comfortable while also looking great. Polyester is easy to care for as well and can be machine washed adding to the appeal of this material.
60% Cotton / 40% Polyester
Many of our tees and more are made with a blend of cotton and polyester. Since both materials are great on their own, why not combine them? This blend is used when you want the softness of cotton combined with the quick drying nature of polyester. Even though it is a blend, it is still superior in strength for a long-lasting option of great value. This is a popular ratio used in apparel of all sorts.
70% Cotton / 30% Polyester Brush Back Fleece
When it comes to our jackets and sweatshirts, the use of fleece takes the wonders of cotton and changes it into something perfect for colder weather. The polyester brushed back fleece helps to create an insulating factor that isn’t too heavy, so you get warmth in the winter without it weighing you down. The cotton helps with softness and ease of care. This is a popular blend for winter wear and can be found in several of our items.
